Operation of collection yards

The collection yards are intended exclusively for residents residing in the city of Košice. If a natural person as a property owner does not reside permanently in the territory of the city, upon entering the collection yard, he/she shall present the decision of the tax administrator, the City of Košice, which determines the local fee for municipal waste.

Basic principles for taking waste to the collection yard:

 

  • When entering, staying and handing over waste in the collection yard area, the citizen shall follow the instructions of the operator
  • When bringing waste to the collection yard, the citizen must present his/her ID card
  • A maximum of 2 vehicles are allowed to enter the collection yard area at the same time
  • The waste is taken over by the operator in the order in which the citizens arrive and coordinates the whole process
  • It is forbidden to deposit waste out of the order specified by the operator
  • Household waste containing hazardous substances is accepted to the largest extent by the collection yard at the slaughterhouse

8.00 a.m. - 3.00 p.m.

Lunch break (valid in winter and summer): 12.30 - 13.00

All collection yards are CLOSED during public holidays.

Collection yards are not intended for

  • Natural persons - entrepreneurs (sole traders), legal entities and various construction companies, apartment owners' associations, municipal authorities, schools.
    It is forbidden to take waste from these entities and entrepreneurs !

The citizen is obliged to:

  • Proof of ID in person or a decision on the local municipal tax for waste disposal if he/she owns a non-residential flat.
  • When unloading and placing waste into containers, it is necessary to follow the instructions of the collection yard attendant who is present during this activity.

All collection points are used for the professional and, above all, environmentally friendly management of different types of waste.

It is allowed to bring ordinary and special (hazardous, toxic, ...) waste to the collection yards, which cannot be disposed of in regular municipal waste collection containers due to its quantity, volume or nature.
